Motionless In White "Creatures" Review

Motionless In White are not my usual "haunt", the emo-esque, clean vocals are not my favourite part of metal (in general) but after listening to the album for the last week they have really grown on me.

This album took the best part of two months for me to finally get my hands on and whilst trying I kept thinking "I hope this album is worth the hassle" and yes it was!!

I came across Motionless In White by accident on YouTube and after clicking on "Abigail" I thought I have to get this album.

The band has a metalcore/screamo sound with definate influences from Marilyn Manson and Bleeding Through but I didn't find it to be generic. There is plenty going on musically from the chucky main riffs to intricate fills and plenty of blast beats and break downs but it's the power in Chris' (Motionless) vocals that I like the best, not to take anything away from the rest of the band.

The guys have done two official film clip for the album "Abigail" and "Creatures", both being, visually, very entertaining in particular "Creatures" which features Megan Massacre who just oozes sex appeal with the black leather and tattoos.

This is the debut full length album from this US band and it is by no means a weak effort with stand out tracks being "Abigail", "Puppets (The First Show)" and "Scissors (The Last Show)", it is a must have for the metalcore/screamo fan that likes things on the heavier side.
